Please do not let this scare, or confuse you. If what you’re doing at home is working please do not change anything. If you are struggling at home this might help. Feel free to use this tool or totally ignore it! Do not panic and think you’re doing everything wrong because you haven’t been doing it like this after watching the videos. Trust me when I say what you are doing is awesome!

Religion
Happy Holy Week!
This week is one of my favorite weeks in the year. I absolutely love teaching my kids about Holy Week and all of the amazing things that happen during it. I am super sad that we are not together during this time or able to do all of the fun activities that I had planned. I hope that you will enjoy sharing this time with your children.
Monday-4/6
Color butterfly or path for the day. Don’t forget to catch up from the weekend!
Religion book— Chapter 19 Jesus Gives the Gift of Himself pgs. 167-174
Read and complete activities throughout.
Tuesday-4/7
Color butterfly or path for the day.
Religion book— Chapter 20 Jesus is Risen pgs. 177-184
Read and complete activities throughout.
Wednesday-4/8
Color butterfly or path for the day.
Every year I make “Resurrection Rolls” with my class. You need crescent rolls, regular size marshmallows, butter, and cinnamon sugar.
1) Dip marshmallow in melted butter.
2) Roll and coat marshmallow in cinnamon and sugar.
3) Wrap marshmallow in a crescent roll.
4) Bake according to crescent roll directions. Keep an eye on them.
The white marshmallow represents our sinless savior, Jesus Christ. The butter represents the oil that Jesus was anointed with. The cinnamon, sugar and crescent roll represent the linen and spices that Jesus was wrapped in. The crescent roll after it is baked and comes out of the oven represents Jesus’ tomb.
While the rolls are baking tell children the story of how Jesus lay in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights. You can refer to the stories from the Bible.. Matthew 12:40 and Luke 24:1-8.
When you tear open the roll after it has cooled the marshmallow will have melted which represents Jesus rising from the dead. The tomb is empty! 🙏🏻
The kids will love this activity if you are able to do it! Have fun!
**Don’t forget to keep coloring your Lenten butterfly or Lenten path over the next 4 days! Happy Easter!
